O2 Academy 2, Birmingham, Thu 17th October 2013 (20/10/13)

Matthew Perkins:

Yet another quality night out thanks to the boys and was my sons first outing to see them (at the age of 13) - his highlight Gok Wan and Slipnot (strangely not on the set list but then they didn't do Capel Curig).

Adrian Chiles came in for a fair bit of P** taking after Bob Wilson, as did Chas and Dave.

During the evening we heard tales of Nigels away day travels with Tranmere to nearby Walsall and of his visit to the Staffordshire Hoard, the required but slightly unnecessary (at Ken's request) stop at Stafford South services on the way to Birmingham, and Nigel's need for coffee and cake and moreover his need to keep receipts from service stations - very bizarre.

Was a fantastic evening and although came away thinking there was no 24 Garage People, Uffington, Country Practice (to name but 3) that's very churlish, they could do a whole different set and I'd still say they didn't do such-as-song, such is the array of tunes we are likely to hear at any of the gigs, anyway can't wait to do it all again in Northampton in a few weeks time - roll on the end of November.
