First time I have seen them since the Stourbridge Rock Cafe a couple of years back. Then the sound was dreadful and band seemed grumpy. Not so at a packed Robin. Decent atmosphere beforehand, we were treated to the sounds of The Rezillos and Stiff Little Fingers instead of some Black Country herberts playing to an uninterested crowd.
Band were in fine form and Nigel had a lot banter with crowd, often over fluffed lyrics. (I mean, how hard can it be to remember the words to Four Skinny Indie Kids?)
No 24 Hour Garage People which was a bit of a disappointment but a cracking gig with a couple of lesser played songs given an outing.
