Jill Hampson:

Well I really can't think of a better way to remember John Peel than to go to a Half Man Half Biscuit gig. I also can't decide what the highlight of this gig was, it was pretty much all AMAZING! I've got several recordings on my phone of various songs such as Restless Legs and Tending The Wrong Grave For 23 Years (I can't really work out the rest and the sound quality on my phone is terrible)

It was great to see some familiar faces at the gig as well as an array of Dukla Prague Away Kits, although my nephew didn't wear his...I probably should have!

Anyway, it was great to have Half Man Half Biscuit in Liverpool, I haven't been to a gig since their Stafford one when I got pushed head first into one of the speakers on the stage by a bouncing fan (oh how Carl laughed.) There was a huge barrier this time to stop me from doing such a silly thing.

Apart from their cover of I Think We're Alone Now by Tiffany, they also played for about two hours with such classics and Venus In Flares, Running Order, Everything's AOR, Thems The Vagaries and A Country Practice (very impressive.) No doubt someone will have the setlist so I don't need to search my terrible memory for the order of songs.

Roll on the next gig....

THERE'S ONLY ONE JOHN PEEL! THERE'S ONLY ONE JOHN PEEL!
