Nottingham Rescue Rooms, Thu 10th February (11/02/05)

Roger Green in with the first review:

If you can't make your way into the moshpit, then the best route is the one that takes you to the bar. That way you can have a first-class view of the leaking air conditioning. Look out for a Legionnaires Disease outbreak down Nottingham way in the next week or so.

Oh, and there's also a decent view of MJ Hibbett And The Validators. Stars of BBC local radio, this band reminds the older viewer of Yeah Yeah Noh and would be well worth tracking down next time they are in your area.

After that, Biscuit step on to the stage. A few less than usual songs get an airing - "Secret Gig" and "Quality Janitor" don't always get played. But there are also traditional favourites - "Everything's AOR", "Fred Titmus", "The Light At The End Of The Tunnel" and "Trumpton Riots". The word on the street is that there is a new album coming out sometime during 2005 - expect to hear more of "Chatteris", "CORGI Registered Friends" and "Joy Division Oven Gloves". Still waiting after twenty years for a bad show by this band. Still waiting.
