Roger Green:

Seven months without a Biscuit gig are seven long months indeed...

Just what you need on a hot summer's day is being herded into an oven of a club that is perhaps not used to catering for such numbers. But all this was forgotten as HMHB opened up with a rousing Fred Titmus. These days it seems that the band come close to selling venues out and the massed chorus was louder than normal. Ever the evangelical, I went to this gig with a Biscuit Virgin. He was well impressed with San Antonio Foam Party and the 'Grave Tending' song. As usual there was plenty of older stuff mixed in with songs from the new CD. It's always a bit of a let-down when they don't play Everything's AOR. But that's splitting hairs. There aren't any other bands that would get this punter to get off his arse and drive so far. And yet again it was worth the effort. According to Geoff, Saucy Haulage Ballads is available very soon, so hopefully we'll all have time to listen and learn in time for the Newcastle and Edinburgh gigs.
